Welcome to the website of Kilkenny City Harriers Athletics Club. Founded in 1953, the 'Harriers' is one of the longest established athletics clubs in Ireland with a proud history and tradition of achievement and participation.

FIXTURES - For some fixtures for 2017 please view "Fixtures Page". Note - As occasionally fixture Dates/venues can change always check with relevant club coach/official.

TRAINING DATES 2017
Under 8,9,10 and 11 - returned on 10th January
Under 12, 13 and 14 - returned on 3rd January
Under 15 and older - as arranged with coaches
Fit4Life - Returned on 5th January (Still a few places available).


NEXT COUNTY EVENT  -
5th February in Thomastown at 11.00am
Open race for under 8's. Under 10's & 12's have relays (3x250). Under 14'sand 16's have 3x500.
Followed by Intermediate Championships Men 8K, Women 3K.

NEW MEMBERS - Intending members should download and complete  "Application for Annual Membership" form (on "About" Page) and give completed form to a committee member or to a club coach at club training time. Forms also available at training on Tuesdays. Note:- a waiting list is in operation for under 8's, 9's, 10's and 11's. If places become available preference will be given to those on the list in date order. To get on list please send details (Name, date of birth, contact number) email to seanplynch@eircom.net or text 0872067157.

PARKING AT CASTLE PARK- When parking for training please avoid inconveniencing residents, and especially avoid parking on yellow lines.

Entries for Leinster and National Events should be with May Hutt, Competition Secretary, well in advance of competition dates.

 KILKENNY PARKRUN  - Register with KILKENNY PARKRUN and join the action in The Castle Park every Saturday morning at 9.30am for a 5K workout- It's free, You get your time, you make friends, you can do it in Dublin, Belfast, Central Park, New York etc. Just do it, Its for everyone.!! Juveniles (under 8 to 12 age groups) might consider doing just one lap or at most one and a half.
 

HELP
: More Volunteers needed - especially for ONE HOUR on Tuesday nights- no experience required. Coach training will be provided if needed. Contact any club coach or committee member. Volunteer when dropping off/collecting your child.
