Welcome to the website of Kilkenny City Harriers Athletics Club. Founded in 1953, the 'Harriers' is one of the longest established athletics clubs in Ireland with a proud history and tradition of achievement and participation.
 


BEST WISHES - to all competing in South Leinster Schools T&F on 28th Apriland 5th May. Also to all our Novice and Master Road Runners at the Leinster Championships in Gowran on 2nd May.
COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016
The programme for this year's county T&F championships is available at the start of the "Fixtures Page- May/August section" on this web site. Note Day 1 Programme scheduled for May 15 in Scanlon Park may move to Kilmacow if track renovation is not completed by then. If this occurs there will be some changes to the programme. Day 2 is on 27th May, Day 3 is on 29th May and Day 4 on 3rd June

PARKING AT CASTLE PARK- When parking for training please avoid inconveniencing residents, and especially avoid parking on yellow lines.
 
CHANGE OF DATES - Please note there are changes in some dates for Leinster events.
The Inter-club Relays are now fixed for Greystones on Saturday 21st May.

The Combined Events will be in Enniscorthy on Sunday 22nd May commencing at 10.30am

 Seniors and Vets Meet at Watershed every Wednesday at 8.00pm. The LONG RUN is back again in The Castle Park on Sunday mornings at 9.30am (Meet at the bench in the upper field). See "training page" for details.

ENTRIES - Entries for Leinster and National Events should be with May Hutt, Competition Secretary, well in advance of competition dates.

 KILKENNY PARKRUN  - Register with KILKENNY PARKRUN and join the action in The Castle Park every Saturday morning at 9.30am for a 5K workout- It's free, You get your time, you make friends, you can do it in Dublin, Belfast, Central Park, New York etc. Just do it, Its for everyone.!! Juveniles (under 8 to 12 age groups) might consider doing just one lap or at most one and a half.
 

HELP
: More Volunteers needed - especially for ONE HOUR on Tuesday nights- no experience required. Coach training will be provided if needed. Contact any club coach or committee member. Volunteer when dropping off/collecting your child.
