Welcome to Kilkenny City Harriers Athletics Club

Founded in 1953, the ‘Harriers’ is one of the longest established athletics clubs in Ireland with a proud history and tradition of achievement and participation.

Upcoming Events

Club Training  for all ages every  Tuesday night- Under 8 to under 11 it is 6.30 to 7.30; Under 12s and older 7.15 to 8.30; Adults 8.30 to 9.30- in Scanlon Park 

also for all age Groups  Saturday Mornings Castle Park U12s and older also train in Scanlon Park on Thursday nights 7.15 – 8.30pm



Saturday 15th December is All-Ireland Day. The final major cross-country day of 2018 takes place on the Navan racecourse and includes the juvenile uneven ages national championships.


Our annual Christmas Morning Run departs from the Castle gates on the Parade at 11.00am. There is no entry fee but donations are most welcome with all proceeds this year going to the John Needs Pembro fund. This is a fund set up to help the Holmes family meet the cost of John’s cancer treatment. John has been prescribed an injection every three weeks. The cost of each injection is €5,111. The cost is not covered by any VHI/ HSE scheme.
