Oct 13 Primary Schools Cross Country

The annual Primary Schools cross country took place in The Castle Park today. Originally scheduled for Tuesday 6th Oct but fell foul to the weather. Today was dry right through thereby allowing for a most enjoyable occasion. With more than a dozen schools taking part the competition was exciting. In total eight races were run – boys and girls – 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes. The spoils were well spread  with team medals been won by teams from eight different schools and individual medals went to pupils from twelve of the participating schools.
