Apr 24 Tulsa Men Make Progress

Our two men, students in Tulsa University USA, marked further progress in their running careers at the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayettville, Arkansas at the weekend. Scheduled to compete on Friday they had to wait until Saturday as a pending storm led to a transfer of Fridays action to the following day. It didn't seem to interfere with the preparations as both athletes recoreded PBs in their respective races. Shay McEvoy ran in the Open 5000m and finished second in 14.21.15. Apr 17 Another PB for Aoibhe

While athletics in Ireland awaits a return to training on 26th April it is all action in the USA with a proliferation of track and field events in every state. Aoibhe Richardson, San Francisco, moved down to the 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California - moved down in distance but not in performance- finishing 10th in her race she knocked almost 13 seconds off her previous PB for the distance. Her PB now stands at 4.21.15.

Apr 02 U.S. Students Impress

The Easter weekend saw a host of Track and Field events across the States. Two KCH athletes were part of the action and both competing in the 10,000m had significant achievements. Aoife Richardson, San Francisco, competing in California, cut a massive 46 seconds off her previous PB when she finished second in her race in 32.56.52. Peter Lynch, Tulsa, made the long journey to Eugene in Oregon where his event was held in the new and fab stadium Hayward Premiere. Mar 29 Shay Has PB

Shay McEvoy, Tulsa University, after a good cross-country season, made a fine return to the track today. Competing in the 1500m at the Randal Tyson Track Centre in Arkansas he clocked 3.48.23 knocking two seconds off his previous PB for the distance. Well done Shay.
