The Orange weather forecast for the South East led to the cancellation of Sunday's first round of the County Kilkenny cross country championships in Ballycurran. However there was plenty of action on the roads - both near and far. On Saturday Mossy Roantree took first place in the Ballycallan 10K in 36.18. On Sunday at the Naas 5k Gretta Beckett was 4th female and first over 40 in 23.23. Sept 22 St Senan’s Open CC

It's like the good old days once again with our juveniles travelling with teams to Kilmacow for the St Senan's Open CC and bringing home the Cup for the best juvenile club. Contributing to the win were Girls under 12 1st team, Girls under 14 2nd team and boys under 14 1st team. Sept 22 Dublin City Marathon

We had some good performances in the Phoenix Park at the Dublin City half marathon today. Colm Smyth 1.22.24, Roseanna Knox 1.34.31, Mary Prendergast 1.36.12, Gretta Beckett 1.50.13, Paula Hynes 1.50.16, Jackie Varley 2.09.32.

Sept 14/15 Cross Country Opens

To kickstart the cross country season the club had minor representation in two open cc events this weekend. At the Newbridge open on Saturday Daniel Greene took gold in the under 14 race while the younger Sam Greene had a good workout in the under 10 race. On Sunday the action was in the Moyne open where Daniel Quinn, with club mates Donagh and Finn had a good workout in the under 11 race. Daniel excelled to take the silver. The National Half Marathon was held in Charleville, Co Cork today. The KCH duo of Paudie McCarthy and Meghan McCarthy were our representatives and posted excellent times - Paudie 1.19.45, Meghan 1.29.32.

Sept 14 Medieval Half Marathon

The Medieval Marathon, Half Marathon, 30k  and 10k were held around the streets of Kilkenny and surrounding roads today. KCH had the following results. 10K - David Devine 42.52 , Gretta Beckett 49.55, Oisin Nic Cinneide 50.49, Andrew O'Carroll54.59, Susan Walsh 57.29, Declan Bryan 1.07.02, Martina McGrath 1.12.41, Angela Lalor 1.13.08. Sept 06 Gowran 4 Mile

There was a fine turnout from the club for the now annual Gowran AC 4 Mile with 19 club members completing the run and some fine times also. Colm Smyth was the second runner across the finish line followed closely by Andrew Smyth and Paudie McCarthy in 4th and 5th respectively. Well done all.
