Just two of our athletes took part in this years' national indoors - Jack Manning and Eoin Everard. Eoin ran in the 3000. It proved a very competitive race where Eoin clocked 8.13.05 to place fourth. Jack ran the 400 on Saturday and was second in his heat in 49.47. On Sunday he was fourth in his heat of the 60m and qualified for the semi in 7.17. He exited the semi in 7.19. Well done men.

Feb 25/26 The Tulsa Boys in Bermingham

This was the weekend for the American Indoor Conference Championships held in Bermingham, Alabama. It was not a championship for setting records but more for achieving points for the college team and Shay McEvoy and Peter Lynch were busy on both days. No harm if records were set while achieving points. And so it was with Shay. The Tulsa team in the Distance Medley Relay, with Shay running  the first leg, set a meet record of 9.39.98. Feb 24 Eoin in Braga

Another No1 for Eoin Everard. Eoin took Gold at the European Masters held in Braga Portugal. Competing at M35 level he won the 3000m in 8.35.33. Congrats Eoin.

Feb 20 Two in Sunny Spain

While most of us were coping with Dudley, Eunice and Francis there were two athletes wearing the Harriers colours in Sunny Spain. In Seville actually for the Seville Marathon. Alan Mahon completed the course in 3.19.06 while Trish Campion clocked 3.54.28. Oh for the Spanish Sun!!

Feb 20 Cathal O’Reilly

Cathal O'Reilly had a double date today. He was due on the podium to receive his 2021 Award (Having recently received the KCLR & David Buggy Award - Kilkenny Sports Star December 2021) - Kilkenny National Star Award - but was otherwise engaged. He Was at the Battle Of The Boyne site at Oldbridge ,Drogheda for Ras NahEireann. A superb run saw him win the junior event and place second overall covering the 6km course in 20.16. Many congratulations Cathal.

Feb 16 Leinster Schools CC

The Leinster Schools CRoss Country were held in Santry today. Many club members represented their schools. Among those were Clodagh O'Callaghan, Presentation 2nd in Minor girls; Eimear Cormack, Loreto and Molly Daly, Presentation in Junior girls; Kealan Gray, Matthew McCarthy, Paddy Kelly- all CBS and Ruairi McEvoy St Kierans in Intermediate boys; Louisa Gilmore and Pia Langton in Intermediate Girls; Tom Lodge, St Kierans in Senior Boys and Isabella Burke, Maebhdh Richardson, Alexia Albertin molinera andPia O'Grady- all Loreto in Senir girls.

Feb 15 Streets of Clane

Brian Maher was the first of five club members competing in Clane today. In fine form he placed 2nd in 14.41. Other athlete and their times were James Ledingham 15.20, Padraig Ruane 16.24. Paul Phelan 18.53 and Siobhan McArdle 20.13.

Feb 13 Intermediate CC

Congratulations to Eamon O'Connor our sole representative at the All-Ireland CC in Castleloyns, Cork today. Running in the Intermediate CC he placed 23rd. The third scorer on the county team he won a bronze medal with the team which finished in third place.

Congratulations to Eamon O'Coonor ou rone representative at the All-Ireland CC in Castlelyons, Cork today. Eamon placed 23rd and was third scorer on the County Intermediate team which placed third.

Feb12 AAI Games

Four club members took part in the AAI Games in Abbotstown today. Cliodhna Manning won bronze in the 400m (55.49). Eoin Everard had a very competitive 3000 where he placed fourth. Jack Manning had 49.91 for the 400 and Ross Daly did the 60m in 7.43. Well done all. Best wishes for National seniors.
