St Senan's AC got the track and field season off to a flying start in Kilmacow today. KCH were represented by a number of juvenile athletes with Daniel McIntyre star of the day winning four medals. A great crowd turned out for the club’s annual awards presentation which was held in The Pembroke Hotel. 2025 proved a very successful year for the club. Club Chairperson, Nicholas Dunphy, welcomed all to the awards and thanked the athletes for their dedication and achievements during the past year. He thanked  all the coaches, managers, club officers and the parents for their ongoing support of the athletes and the hotel for hosting our event.  The citations were delivered by Sean Lynch while Club Registrar, May Hutt, assisted the chairperson with the presentation. Oct 03 It’s Quiz Time

The Club Quiz was held in Kytlers tonight with 25 tables creating a full house and a great social night. 1st prize went to the McEvoys, 2nd to Sprint Finish and 3rd to Pints and Personal Best.  Thanks to all who participated and especially May, Martina, Noel and quiz master for organising the event. A special thanks to all who donated prizes and in particular Kytler's; Statham's, Pembroke; Nu Gamma Fitness; The Watershed.

Some great performances by great individuals in different places. Billy Coogan took first place in the 3000m steeplechase at the MAAC in NewJersey. His time was 9.2.54. Ger Forde was in the Phoenix Park for the National 5K Road race. Running close to his PB he clocked 14.58 to finish 9th. Shay McEvoy, fresh from his 3rd place in the 10000m, he took second in the 5000 at the American Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. His time was 14.13.05. May 12/13 Leinster Schools

Tullamore was the venue for this year's Day 1 and Day 2 of the Leinster Schools track and field finals. KCH had a number of athletes competing on both days and acquitted themselves well. The local schools had representatives in minor, junior, intermediate, under 16 and senior events. Once again the ever popular Streets of Kilkenny was a resounding success. Proof of it's popularity showed itself with places being sold out months in advance and given the enjoyment felt tonight it augers well for the years ahead. Thanks then goes to Club chairman and race director, Nicholas Dunphy, his hardworking committee and the many volunteers without whom the race couldn't be held. It was a busy weekend for indoor athletics. On the home front we had the National Masters on Saturday and the under 20 & under 23 on Sunday while all the time we were tuned to Appledoorn, Netherlands for the European Indoors.  Graham Bourne excelled once again in the M45 category with gold in the 60m hurdles (12.71), silver in Pole Vault (2.00) and bronze in triple jump (8.30). A number of our athletes were involved in the Universities Road Relays. Playing a major part  in the DCU men's win was Cathal O'Reilly. UCD had Hannah Kehoe, Orla Looney, Isabella Burke and Callum Barron.

Oct 27 Dubin City Marathon

There were a lot of miles/kilometers run this weekend by club members. Seventeen crossed the finish line in the Dublin City Marathon and two, Ger Forde (2.21.19) in 31st place and Anne Marie Shortall (3.46.04) in Frankfurt. It's like the good old days once again with our juveniles travelling with teams to Kilmacow for the St Senan's Open CC and bringing home the Cup for the best juvenile club. Contributing to the win were Girls under 12 1st team, Girls under 14 2nd team and boys under 14 1st team.
