February 06 KCH Perform in US cross-country

The 2020 American Athletic Conference cross-country, deferred from October 2020 because of Covid 19, was held today at 4 Mile Creek Resort, Augusta, Kansas. Tulsa Hurricanes, with two KCH - Peter Lynch and Shay McEvoy - on the men's team took gold in a convincing manner with six runners in the top ten finishers  - their 7th successive title. And our two were in that number. Peter placed 4th (same as in 2019) in 23.58.7 and Shay was 10th in 24.43.4. Two outstanding performances in a very competitive race amid a fall of snow. January 25 AGM Time

As with most other things given the Covid 19 and level 5 Lockdown this year's AGM was held under ZOOM conditions and went ahead successfully. All outgoing officers with the exception of Registrar, Brenda Tuohy, were re-appointed without contest. Brenda wishes to resign her position and the club asks that a volunteer come forward to take up the position. (More to follow)

January 21 Fit4Life AGM

The F4L AGM was held tonight using ZOOM technology. Under the guidance of Chairman Declan Walshe the meeting was conducted efficently and in orderly manner. The Covid 19 and the ensuing lockdowns caused considerable difficulties for the members during the year and is likely to have a similar effect for some time yet. However all officers had satisfactory reports with all, bar outgoing registrar Joya Burns, happy to continue for another year.
