A great crowd turned out for the club’s annual awards presentation which was held in The Pembroke Hotel. 2025 proved a very successful year for the club. Club Chairperson, Nicholas Dunphy, welcomed all to the awards and thanked the athletes for their dedication and achievements during the past year. He thanked  all the coaches, managers, club officers and the parents for their ongoing support of the athletes and the hotel for hosting our event.  The citations were delivered by Sean Lynch while Club Registrar, May Hutt, assisted the chairperson with the presentation. Feb 14/15 All Action St Valentine’s WE

While last weekend was relatively quiet this weekend was anything but with action in many quarters.  The Leinster Juvenile Indoors in Athlone provided the major source of that action. KCH with fifty plus athletes involved had a very successful championship with in excess of twenty medals returning home. There was gold for Aaron Tyrell (U13 - 600); Cillian Maher U13 -walk)Daniel McIntyre (U13 - long jump); Daniel Greene (U15 800); Kyrell Mtinsi (U18 - 800); and Molly Daly  (U19 - 400 CBP). Feb 08 A Quiet Weekend

Competitionwise this was a relatively quiet weekend. Just one on the Indoor Track - Alex Cullen guesting at the National League finished second in his heat with a PB of 22.01 for the 200m. Three runners were out in the open air. Katie Mullan took on the Sli Chorcai Ultra 65 Kms which has an elevation of 1963m. Her stamina brought her home in 10hrs 26ms. Nearer home two went in the Graiguenamanagh Rolling hills. Gretta Beckett was 4th female in the 5K (25.35) while James Murphy did the 10K in 42.42.

Feb 01 – The Dungarvan 10 +

The annual Dungarvan 10 mile attracts many KCH runners. Todays event may well be a record with 53 Harriers completing the race - many with PBs. First club man home was Colm Smyth in 57.58 PB. Leanne Butler was first lady in 1.04.30. Rory Lehane, Darragh Stone, Derek Aylward, Nuala FitzGibbon, Trevor Spillane, David Devine, Orla McPhillips, Tomasz Jarzabek, Stephen McNamee, Louise Coogan and Paula Hynes all had PBs - Full results "myrunresults". Megan McCarthy had a PB of 18.15 when finishing second in The Coal Miners 5K. Gretta Beckett clocked 25.56 in the Mark Mahon 5K.   [...]

Feb 01 Leinster Indoors – Relays etc

The Indoor Relays are always big days for KCH and today was no different. Twelve teams - from U12 girls to U19 boys - took part today and eight came home with medals. Where once KCH were top club in Leinster for relay competition that place today belongs to Ratoath AC. Notwithstanding that we are proud of today's achievements. Winning eight sets of Leinster medals is no mean achievement - one gold, five silver and two bronze. The boys U19 finished a close fourth despite having to retrieve a dropped baton.
