Some inspiring achievements in diverse locations this weekend.
Up in Belfast on Saturday Cathal O’Reilly scored maximum points for his DCU college team with victory in the 10000 on the Mary Peters track. His time was 31.25 .60.
Down in Cobh, Co Cork, Meghan McCarthy took part in the Sonia O’Sullivan 10 mile. A really good run brought her into 4th female finisher in 1.05.15.
Leanne Butler travelled a bit further – to Berlin. There she ran the half-marathon in a fine time of 1.34.36.
