Juveniles from the club descended en masse on Tullamore today for the Inter Club Relays. With twenty-three teams in action it was a busy day for coaches and officials as well as the athletes. The hard work put in over the season brought amazing results as nineteen of the twenty-three teams qualified for the finals. And that wasn’t the end as eleven of those teams brought home Leinster medals – 4 Gold, 3 Silver, 4 Bronze. There was a “silver” lining on the GOLD as all four set new records in their respective races. The record makers (with subs) were as follows:- Girls U13A (53.55) – Jasmine Timmons McEneaney, Mollie Rose Keegan, Emma Kelly, Ella Sorohan, Alicja Slawinska, Amelia O’Brien: Under 14 (52.43)- Ellen Daly, Jasmine Timmons McEneaney, Kara Canavan, Mollie Rose Keegan, Emily Long, Emma Roche: Under 15 (50.50)- Kate Maher, Martha Bergin, Ellen Daly, Kara Canavan, Emily Long, Emma Roche: Under 16 (49.46) – Molly Daly, Aoibhe Quinn, Kate Maher, Martha Bergin, Eimear Cormack.
The silver medals were won by Boys U11, Boys U14 and Girls (4×400) U17. The Girls U11 A and U12 won bronze as did Boys U13 and U17. Girls U9 and Girls (4×100) U17 were fourth, Boys U13 were sixth. In seventh place were Girls U9, Boys U9, Boys U10, Girls U11B and Girls U13B.
