Runners from many parts of the country assembled for this annual multi-event around the city and rural environs. A considerable number of local athletes were involved. Among these were the following – 10K (Eddie Hawe, David Kennedy, Eoin Molloy, RitaMcGarvey, Mary Ann Molloy, Brigid Rochford; 30K (Ann Marie Shortall, Angela Lalor, Teresa Comerford); Half Marathon (Irene Henebry, Darragh Sharpe, Jo Scobie, Jackie Varley); Marathon (Emma Kenndy, Dee Scott, Breegen Murphy, Paul Comerford).
