Loreto athletes were in tip top form in Carlow yesterday for the Intermediate and Senior Secondary Schools track and field championships – 5 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze – a good day’s work.
Results – Loreto – Intermediate:- Kate Maher 1st 100m and 200m; Grace Delahunty 2nd 100m and 200m; Molly Daly 1st 300m; Hazel Coogan 2nd 300m and 3rd Javelin; Ella Wall 1st High Jump.
Senior:- Blaithin Holden 2nd 400m; Pia Langton 1st 800m
CBS – Senior:- Alex Cullen 1st 110 hurdles; Billy Coogan 1st 5000m.
St Kieran’s – Senior:- Noah Gilmore 1st Long Jump and 2nd 100m; Ruairi McEvoy 3rd 5000m.
Presentation – Intermediate:- Clodagh O’Callaghan 1st 800m.
Kilkenny College – Intermediate:- Mathias Quaglia 1st 200m.
