Well done to all our athletes who travelled to Stradbally, Co Laois today for the Leinster B cross country and also the Leinster cross country relays. Our U11s were out in great numbers in both relays and races. The boys U11 were 5th club with Dylan Guilfoyle 6th, Isaac Burns 7th and Ethan Maher 48th scoring on the county team which placed second. Other team members were Donagh McCabe, Patrick Collins, Adam Walsh, Conn Sheehan. The U11 girls were also competitive and the club team placed 4th. Nancy Lyons Teehan 7th led the team home and won gold with the county team which finished first county. The other team members were Nora Carroll, Sadie Murphy, Robin Lyons Teehan, Isabelle Hoyne, Molly Reynolds, Lily Power and Cara Burke. With a number of under 10s on both teams these are great results.
The mixed relay team of Eddie Kemple, Daniel Quinn, Ellie Costello and Daniel McIntyre were 4th.
Under 13 Brandon Maher finishing 22nd helped the county team to first place thereby earning himself a Leinster Gold. The mixed relay team of Madeline Kemple, Charlie O’Donohoe, Maeve O’Shea, Brandon Maher and sub Ava Walsh placed 9th.
Under 15 Ellen Cormack won gold with the county team when she finished in 7th place.
Under 17 Donnacha Maher had a good run to place 4th.
