There was an amount of action during the last few days – Dundrum 10K, Clontarf half-marathon on the road and then track and field with the national league in Tullamore.
Dundrum 10K – Some thirteen members took on the 10K with must achieving PBs – Colm Smyth 34.56, Derek Aylward 39.24, Rory Conlon 39.29, Nuala FitzGibbon 39.45, Alan Mitchell 39.58, David Wilson 40.19, David Devine 41.15, Grainne Behan 42.34, Lenka Taborska 43.05. There were good runs also by Gerald Fogarty 40.45, Matthew Warren 42.25, Lorcan O’Toole 44.07 and Emily Maher 45.05.
Clontarf Half – Rosie Alcorn and Emma Livingstone finished together on 2.18.
National League – Tullamore
Some fourteen athletes, six ladies and eight men, made skeleton teams for the Preliminary round of this years national league in Tullamore on Sunday. The ladies placed 11th with 102points while the men ended in 9th place with 149 points.
The Ladies – Blaithin Holden 2/100 hurdles, 12/wfd, 3/100m; Ella Wall 4/high jump,2/400m, 2/200m; Sylvia Lennon 8/walk; Karen Nugent 7/hammer; Aisling Burns 12/1500m, 11/Shot, 8/Discus; Martyna Balcer 9/long jump and 9/triple jump – and 5th in 4x100m.
The Men – Conor Malone 9/high jump; Noah Gilmore 1/100 hurdles, 7/pole vault; Nicholas Dunphy 1/walk, 11/discus; Ruairi McEvoy 4/1500m, Neil Gunning 8/Shot, 7/wfd; Louis Raggett 5/long jump; Kyrell Mtinsi 6/800m and William Nugent 10/javelin.
