Alex Cullen was honoured by Athletics Ireland at a function in Mullingar on Saturday. His track achievements during 2004 won him Kilkenny Juvenile Athlete of the year. The Award was presented to Ian, his father, as unfortunately Alex couldn’t attend because he was doing his leaving cert orals.
In the IUAA championships at the weekend Blaithin Holden, TCD, finsihed 8th in 100m hurdles and won bronze with the 4×400 relay. Callum Barron, UCD, finished 8th in 5000m.
