The fuel price blockades made for tension to those travelling to Athlone today for the national Indoor Relays. Our teams did well With one gold, two silver, a 4th, 5th and 8th. Individual athletes – For Clodagh O’Callaghan there was silver in the 1500m U19 (4.36.68). Conor Malone was 4th in the U18 high jump (1.70) and Kyrell Mtinsi placed 5th in the 1500m U18 (4.12.23).
The Relays – The U13 boys were 8th (1.56.94) (Conor Laurence Delaney, Daniel McIntyre, Zack Marc, Aaron Tyrrell).
The under 14 boys were 4th (1.51.91) (Cathal Comerford, Caelan Bambrick, Jacob Briers, Eoin Hoyne and Charlie O’Donovan).
Under 16 boys 5th (1.41.32) (Fiach Crowley, Daniel Greene, Conor Knox, Aidan Malone).
Under 17 boys 2nd (1.35.72) (Danny Direen, Eoghan O’Farrell, Fiach Crowley, Patrick Wall).
Under 18 boys 2nd (1.32.33) (Charlie Lyons, Victor Lamph, Eoghan O’Farrell, Patrick Wall).
