Boston – Apr 17 – It was Sean O’hArgain’s first marathon and a repeat for his companions Una Byrne, Irene Henebry. Ann Shortall, Breegeen Murphy and Dee Scott.
California – Apr 21 – Peter Lynch was in Stanford, California competing in the Elite 5000m at the Payton Jordan Invitational. He finished 5th in 13.30.86 with a 13 second PB which moves him from 57th on the All-time Irish 5000 list to 23rd place.
Dublin – Apr 22 – Cathal Reilly was in Dublin having returned from warm weather training in Portugal. Representing DCU in the IUAA 10,000m, his first over the distance on the track, he won the silver in 31.05.
