KCH men’s team travelled to Raheny today with competitive intent for the National Road Relays. And competitive they were with Eoin Everard, marginally in front, when handing over to James Ledingham. James put in a strong second leg but up against fast milers he dropped to sixth. Toss Hayes then took up the running and closed the gap to fifth before handing over to the youthful Shay McEvoy. Shay put in a stormer final leg – the second fastest of the day but despite makingup ground was pipped for third place which went to Clonliffe on 37.44. KCH’s time of 37.46 would have won the race in 2018.
