Tullamore was the venue for a half marathon today. And not just any half marathon as it doubled as an open half marathon and also the half marathon championship race for county Kilkenny, Leinster and National. KCH was well represented with a number of men and women competing. There were some fine individual runs and even better team performances.
Female Results – 255 Clare Dermody, 271 Jacinta Mulroe, 329 Lisa Collins, 365 Mary Prendergast, 410 Kate Sugrue, 778 Emma Staunton. As a team they scored very highly taking first and second place in county championship, first in Leinster, second O/35 in national and fourth in national senior.
Male Results – 103 Graham Bourne, 257 Andrew Smyth, 322 Matthew Warren, 344 Rory Conlon, 387 Ciaran Hughes, 1076 Andrew Smith. The team won third place in County championships behind Castlecomer and Gowran, 21st in Leinster O/35 and 27th in National O/35 and 30th in National Senior.
