There was a feast of half marathons this weekend with KCH members actively involved. Some twenty headed to the national half marathon in Tullamore. The ladies had particular success with Aoife Nolan 1.27.56, Emma Ayres 1.29.14 and Claire Dermody 1.29.38 scoring first Leinster club. Then with Tara Ronan 1.35.38 they were part of the county team – also first in Leinster. Aoife, Emma and Tara all had PBs. Other PBs were had by Derek Aylward 1.26.12, Tomasz Jarzabek 1.26.55, Padraig Hyland 1.29.20, David Bird 1.35.26, Stephen McNamee 1.50.34. Other finishers included David FitzGerald 1.25.11, Andrew Smyth 1.26.44, Trevor Spillane 1.30.36, Aidan Clancy 1.33.29 and Sean OhArgain 1.58.31.
Then on the Waterford Greenway half marathon we had eighteen runners with a host of PBs. Among the finishers were the following:- Gavin Costigan 1.19.59, Alan Mitchell 1.26.15, Ian Hayes 1.28.40, Declan Walshe 1.29.06, Michael Walshe 1.28.50, Roseanna Knox 1.28.40, Lisa Collins 1.29.49, Neil gunning 1.40.47, Geraldine Grogan 1.43.32 and Laura Andrews 1.44.25 (All PBs). Also Kate Sugrue 1.34.16 and Susan Doherty 1.48.44.
