The final cross country for our athletes took place n Abbottstown today. It was the national uneven ages plus Novice and the athletics once again experienced a considerable amount of muck – particularly on one part of the course.

Under 11- 139 Alex O’Donovan, 158 Ethan Maher
Under 13 – 103 Kate Kelly, 130 Ella O’Flaherty, 135 Ella Burke. The boys had a team and placed 16th with 76 Daniel Quinn 85 Daniel McIntyre 134 Eoin Hoyne, 135 Dylan Guilfoyle, 140 Cillian Andrews, 155 Brandon Maher.
Under 15 – Great team result here to finish 6th. The team was 25 Katie Byrne, 28 Emily O’Keeffe, 75 Amelia O’Brien, 107 Heidi Ryan, 116 Maria Kraljevic. Daniel Greene had a fine run out of his age to place 8th. Likewise Sam Woodcock in 42nd.
Under 17 – Kyrell Mtinsi had his usual steady run to place 20th. Sinead Cormack in 12th place was second scorer on the 3rd placed Leinster team to gain an All-Ireland bronze medal.
Under 19 – We had two reliables with Hazel Coogan 43rd and Eimear Cormack 51st – both scoring on the 6th placed county team. Tom Murphy had a good run to place 40th.
Novice – The outstanding performance of the day came in the last race with Callum Barron taking gold. Paddy Kelly placed 139th. The county team came 4th.
