St Brigid’s Day in Kilkenny is marked on the running calendar as the day to help fund the activities of Cois Nore. KCH lends its support in both administration and participation of this worthy cause. This year’s 5K down the canal and around the Castle Park attracted close on 350 supporters. First home for theHarriers’ ladies was Orla McPhillips (19.41) followed closely by Niamh Richardson (20.22). Donnacha Maher (20.06) was our first male across the finish line. The McCormacks made it a family affair with Ellen (22.17), Sinead (21.48), Eimear (22.17) and Maria (22.37). It was good to see many of yesterday’s participants in the John Treacy 10 mile out in support of this local charity.
