Loreto Secondary School and St Kieran’s College gave a good account of themselves at the All-Ireland Schools cross-country in Santry today. Loreto Senior girls powered by Thomastown duo Hannah O’Keeffe and Aine Kirwan plus Annie McEvoy (KCH), brought home the gold. St Kieran’s didn’t strike gold but their presence was felt across the course – Minor boys 4th with a huge effort from Ruairi McEvoy 14th; Intermediate boys won bronze with Tom Lodge and Eoin Deely involved; Senior boys also bronze with Shay McEvoy 3rd, Kevin Burns 29th, Cathal O’Reilly 33rd and John Muldowney 37th.
Meanwhile down in Cork Grace Richardson had a fine outing to finish 22nd in the Irish Universities CC final.
