A big achievement for Meghan McCarthy at the Charlie Curran 5 mile in Carlow today. Crossing the finish line in 31 minutes she was the first lady finisher. Brendan O’Driscoll came home in 32.59. Bridget Rochford and Jackie Varley from out F4L squad finished in 44.38 and 47 .26 respectively.
Meanwhile Jamie Gahan was in action in Dublin running the Raheny 5. He placed 9th overall, first O/40, in 25.07. John Kearns returned to the road to finish the course in35.19.
