KCH had five athletes competing in Santry at the AAI Games over the weekend and all had good returns. On Saturday Cliodhna Manning moved down to the 200m which she won in 24.29. Billy Coogan moved up to the 10,000mwhere he placed 5th in 31.55.04. Alex Cullen was 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 54.25.
Cathal O’Reilly with his third competitive race in less than a week took first place in the 1500 in 3.51.34.
Noah Gilmore, back in action after a layoff for the leaving cert, took gold in the Junior Decathlon scoring 5279 points. This he achieved with five PBs – 400m 52.43; 1500m 4.53.75; 110 hurdles 16.93; discus 27.37; pole vault 3m; and also 100m 11.33; long jump 5.67; shot putt 9.90; high jump 1.62; javelin 31.55.
