Despite some (of the younger ) nationals happening yesterday today is referred to by Athletics Ireland as Day 1. So be it and for Ellen Daly it was her second national medal – bronze in the u13 60m hurdles (9.80) to go with her sprint medal from yesterday. Under 17 athlete Alex Cullen was impressive with gold in the long jump (6.34) and bronze in 100m hurdles (14.94). Other under 17s to feature were Paddy Kelly 5th in 2000m steeplechase (6.53) and Liam Thompson 7th in Long Jump. Pia Langton having got boxed in a couple of times made a good finish to win bonze in the u16 800m (2.15.08). Kyrell Mtinsi on his first national placed 7th in the 800m(2.18.01).
