KCH had large numbers at the Leinster Indoor T&F in Athlone this weekend. There was a major amount of personal bests and quite an amount of Leinster medals won across the various age groups. Molly Daly, U16, was the star performer winning gold in 60m, 60m hurdles and the 200m and if that wasn’t enough her time of 25.18 was a championship Best Performance. Younger sister Ellen had gold in 60m hurdles under 14 and a silver in the 60m. Also U14 Sinead Cormack won gold in the 800m. U18 athlete Adam Slawinski had double gold – 60m and 200m. U19 Noah Gilmore won gold in the long jump and silver in the 60m. Amelie Foley won bronze in the long jump. There were two silvers for the under 12s – Conor Knox in the shot and Aoibhinn Kelly in the 60m. Three medals went to the U13s – Fiach Crowley, silver in 60m hurdles, Jasmine Timmons McEneaney silver in 60m and Mollie Rose Keegan bronze in the 60m. Kyrell Mtinsi, U15, won silver in the 800m and under 16 Clodagh O’Callaghan won gold , also in the 800m. Another U16, Kate Maher, won bronze in 60m. And another result to cheer about – Pia Langton – Gold and CBP in the 800m U17. Her time 2.17.88.
In addition to medals there were many others – twelve in fourth place- with great achievements. Among those (not already mentioned) Were U12s – Aoibhinn Lacey, Marcus Lyons, Evan Cody, Caoimhe Kelly and Vivenne Lepeskaite; U13s – Killian Croke, Daire O’Flaherty, Daithi Egan, Kevin Comerford, Ruadhan McGuinness, Emma Kelly, Amelia O’Brien, Emma Nichol, Alicja Slawinska, Ria Quinn, Lucy Maher, Lola Long; U14 – Ellen Cormack, Kara Canavan, Patrick Wall, Emily Long, Emily Knox; U15 – Martha Bergin, Charlie Lyons, Joshua Malone; U16 – Cormac Holden, Ruth Crowley, Aoibhe Quinn, Eimear Cormack, Evelyn McEvoy, Conor Ryan, Cathal Rossiter; U17 – Ella Wall, Grace Delahunty, Hannah Quinn; U18 – Louisa Gilmore; U19 – Conor Byrne, Alexia Albertin Molinera.
