GOWRAN
KCH had fourteen runners taking part in the Leinster Novice road races in Gowran. The ladies earned eight Leinster medals – Meghan McCarthy (11.05) had an individual bronze and with Grainne Behan 10th, Claire Dermody 12th and Kate Millea 25th they had team gold and Meghan, Grainne and Claire also scored on the county winning team. Rhoda Griffith 27th and Gretta Beckett 30th provided additional backup.
The men were also in the medals with Dean Rowe (19.43) winning individual bronze and joined by Eamon O’Connor 8th, Padraig Ruane 9th and Andrew Smyth 11th the were second team. All four scored on the winning county team. Additional club finishers were Sha Roddy 19th, Trust Mtinsi 22nd, Mike Cullen 35th, David Devine 44th and David Wilson 47th.
TIPPERARY
At the Brendan Kinnane 5K in Dundrum on Wednesday there were some great performances – Jacinta Mulroe 19.32, Andy Smyth 16.54, Colm Smyth 17.17 and Rory Lehane 19.29.
LIMERICK
Half marathon runners were John Murphy 1.25.24, Ger Fogarty 1.28.54 and Andy Hanrahan 1.32.59 and the full marathon Rory Conlon 3.22.54.
BELFAST
Mattie Warren went north to run the Belfast Marathon in 3.24.07.
USA TRACK
Maebh Richardson had 16.38.09 for the 5000 in Portland, Oregon while Hannah Kehoe was in Los Angeles, California ans ran the 1500 in 4.30.97.
