There were many great performances by our athletes at the Leinster Schools track and field in Tullamore today. Ranking in the top spot was Molly Daly, Loreto, with a CBP of 43.46 in the 300m Intermediate hurdles. The previous record of 44.10 was set by Molly’s mother, Fiona Norwood, in 1995. Molly also won bronze in the 200m. Other Loreto girls at Intermediate Level were Ella Wall, 4/high jump 1.55; Christian Capitan Martin 5/3000m and Pia Langton 1st 800m (2.13.76 PB) and 5th 300m. Loreto Seniors were Hannah Kehoe 1st 1500m (4.39.81); Blaithin Holden 3rd 200m, Amelia Foley 3rd long jump and Isabelle Bourke 4th 3000m.
The CBS had fine results with Alex Cullen 2nd in Intermediate long jump, and Seniors Billy Coogan 2nd 5000m, and Adam Slawinska 3rd 200m (22.81 PB) and 5th 100m (11.26 PB).
Representing St Kieran’s were Ruairi McEvoy 6th Intermediate 3000m (9.28.52) and at Senior Level Noah Gilmore 3rd Long Jump (6.06) and Tom Lodge 6th 800m (2.00.31).
