Another new cross country venue today  – Uneven ages in Tinahely and some good running in hilly and difficult conditions. 

Our U11s were first off and big numbers in both girls and boys. The girls competed well and the boys were outstanding – they might be new to CC but they impressed. The girls were 9th club and had Mollie Clarke scoring on the 7th placed county team. Nancy Lyons Teehan in 23rd place led the them home. Other team members were Caoimhe Malone, Ellie Costello, Sadie Murphy, Aoibhin Behan and Robin Lyons Teehan. Best team of the day was the under 11 boys – Daniel Quinn 6th and Daniel McIntyre 7th make the Leinster first 12- with Cillian Maher 23rd and Charlie Morris 26th the team won silver and all four scored on the county team which also won silver. there was plenty of backup with James Healy, Conor Delaney, Finley Van Volkengoed and Con Sheehan. 

The under 13 girls were 9th club with Kate Kelly in 22nd first for the team. Kate Scored on the 6th placed county team. Other scorers were Maeve O’Shea, Ella O’Flaherty, Cara De Phily, Mealla Crowley and Caoimhe Kelly. Daniel Greene with a superb run won gold in the U13 boys race. Eoin Hoyne was well placed in 13th. With Eoghan Buckley and Charlie Donohoe the team were 6th.

Sinead Cormack, always consistent, always reliable, won individual bronze and a coveted place on the Leinster team for the nationals. Ellen Cormack also ran well to finish 27th. Improved form by Emma Kelly and Amelia O’Brien left them in 34th and 35th respectively. The club team finished 5th and all four scored on the county team which also placed 5th. 

The under 17 girls had Clodagh O’Callaghan 17th, Eimear Cormack 39th and Evelyn McEvoy47th. All three scored on the county team which finished fourth. The U17 boys were 4th club. Kyrell Mtinsi showing some of his old form made the Leinster team with 7th place. Conor ryan 25th and Donnacha Maher 51st scored on the county placed 5th team. Conor Malone in 55th completed the team.

The U19 girls had Pia Langton 4th and Hazel Coogan 16th. Callum Barron our sole representative U19 boys stole the show with gold first place finish.

Three ladies represented the club in the senior race and did well. Hannah Kehoe 3rd, Eleanor Godden 23rd and Caoilfhionn Ni Argain 27th helped the county team to silver medals.
