This weekend was a busy one for the University cross-country athletes in the USA. The Nuttycombe Invitational was held in Wisconsin on Friday with teams from some thirty colleges participating. The Tulsa Men’s team, ranked outside the top ten, turned up in confident mood and put in a very fine performance. Peter Lynch had what could be described as his most impressive race to date. Finishing in 14th place in 23.56.1 he led his team into bronze medal position. On Saturday Aoibhe Richardson, representing San Francisco, gave a powerful performance in the Under Armour Pre-National in Indiana. Leaving the rest of the field behind her she coasted to victory in 20 minutes 32 seconds. Well done ye two.
