Thumbs up for Andy Smyth and Irene Henebry on running the Terenure 5 Mile with respective finishing times of 28.58 and 39.01.

There were some great results from todays Belfast Milers Club event at the Mary Peters track in Belfast. Alex Cullen scored a five second improvement in his 400m time when he finished in 47.81. This gives him the B standard qualifying time for the European Juniors. Cliodhna Manning was also in fine form winning her 400m in 54.04. Other good results came from Pia Langton 800m (2.07.67), Cathal O'Reilly 1500 (3.44.72), Jamie Gahan 3000 (8.36.99) and Myles Hewlett 1500 3.53.16). 

Some great PBs by David Wilson 19.18 and Oonagh Guilfoyle 20.12 at the Dundrum 5K today. There were also good finishes by Paddy Walsh 16.38, Colm Smyth 16.45, Rory Lehane 18.34, Claire Dermody 19.06, Trevor Spillane 19.33 and Pierce Cooney 21.28. 

It's county championship time again and the weather is favourable so we had a fine turnout for Day 1 in Scanlon Park. Quite a number of first timers trying out their fitness and skills and of course the "experienced " ones are hoping to improve on earlier years performances. Among the latter are Conor Knox and Jack O'Neill. Both had an excellent 2024 and they seem set for a repeat in 2025.  Both collected three individual golds - Conor in U14 80m, Hammer and High Jump - Jack in U15 Shot, Discus and Hammer. NEW JERSEY Over in the USA Grace Richardson had a PB when finishing the 1500m Larry Ellis Invitational in 4.23.35. GOWRAN There was plenty of action on the road in Gowran as the local club hosted the Leinster Novice and Masters Road Championships. Our Novice LADIES were first club and also made up the county team which also took the gold medals. Team members were 5 Clare Allen, 9 Orla McPhillips, 13 Claire Dermody, 15 Oonagh Guilfoyle and Kate Millea. The men were out in good numbers with a team in Novice and Masters.
