Well done to all our athletes, coaches and officials on another great evening of athletics. We had good numbers out,  taking part in events with no pressure and loads of enjoyment. It proves once again that having a B competition has massive appeal to those who are less experienced and provides a stepping stone to greater things as they progress. Our two under 12 boys had a good competition at the nationals in a shower filled day in Tullamore.  Daniel McIntyre was 4th in the long jump (4.21) and Conor Lawerence Delaney was 7th in the high jump (1.25). Excellent results in a national event. In the Pairs Under 9 girls were 15th in the long jump with a combined distance of 5.42m. This year's Tailteann Games were held in Carlow today. KCH had five athletes on the Leinster team. All five had good performances and did us and their schools proud. Between them, in individual and and relays,  they won seven medals. Matias Quaglia won gold in 200 and silver in 100m and silver with the 4x100 relay team. Kate Maher had double gold 1st in 300 and again on the 4x300m relay. Ellen Daly was 3rd in the 200m and won gold with the 4x100 relay. Sinead Cormack was 8th in the 3000 and Kyrell Mtinsi was 5th in 800m. Well [...]

The weather was unkind at times for the Leinster Juveniles in Tullamore this weekend. But the results across the ages and events suggest that the weather didn't affect performances. Two championship records were achieved - Daniel Greene in U14 300m (42.56) and Mattias Quaglia U17 200m (22.22). In addition to many many PBs there were 39 individual medals - 19 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze.  Top accolade goes to Daniel Greene who in addition to the Championship Record in the 300 also won gold in 800 and 1500.
