Day 3 of the county Championships was Day 2 for the u11 – u19 athletes ans it was basically a repeat of day 1 only in different events. A total of 46 medals were won. U12 athlete Daire O’Flaherty was one to watch as he took gold in both the 200m and the 800m. There was a clean sweep for the boys under 17 in the 200m with Adam Slawinski 1st, Alex Cullen 2nd and Liam Thompson 3rd. The girls had three such clean outs – Jasmine Timmons McEneaney, Emma Kelly and Molly roseKeegan taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 80m U12; Hannah Quinn, Ella Wall and Grace Delahunty in the 400m U16 and Amelie Foley, Ella Delahunty and Orla Kenny in the 400m under18/19. There were eight relays and KCH took first place in seven. The exception was boys U16 who won silver. In addition both boys and girls U12 also had second and third places and girls U16 also had second place.
The 800m for adults was also held. Kate Millea won the senior race. Grahame Bourne ws 1st O-40; Paul Phelan 1st O-45 and David Devine 3rd O-45.
