The preliminary round of the national league was held in TUS, Athlone today. With a somewhat less than a full team KCH managed to compete in 14 events accumulating 136 points which places the club in position for the League final on 28th July. A great achievement with 4 juveniles, 3 juniors and 2 seniors.
Today’s team:- Nicholas Dunphy 18pts in walk, Myles Hewlett 13 in 1500,Conor Byrne 10 in 400m and 5 in Shot, Paddy Kelly 14 in steeplechase, William Nugent 5 in 200mand 3 in javelin, Ruairi McEvoy 9 in 800m, Callum Barron 9 in 5000m, Noah Gilmore 12 in pole vault and 10 in high jump, Killian Redmond 8 in discus, Stephen Gilmore 11 in weight for distance, and 4×400 relay (Noah Gilmore, Conor Byrne, Ruairi McEvoy and William Nugent) 9 points.
