The dust or even the snow had barely set when there was more big news from the US. This came in the form of Peter Lynch with a marvellous performance in the Houston half marathon on Sunday. This was Peter’s second half marathon. The weather was somewhat cold and blustery but Peter was obviously in competition form. In a field of 5000+ athletes with over forty elite runners he placed 19th in a new PB time of 1.01.15 making him a top5 Irish All Time.
Also in Dublin today Cathal O’Reilly and Pia Langton were guests at the National Indoor League in Abbottstown. Competingin their respective 1500m races both had excellent results. Cathal 1st in 3.53.64 and Pia was 2nd in 4.30.76.
