Twas a windy day in Tullamore today for the U20 & U23 nationals. But there was nothing “windy” about the performance.
200m Molly Daly and Kate Maher with good runs in their respective heats pushed on the the final where Molly won silver (24.16) and Kate placed 4th (25.09).
400m Pia Langton stepped down to take a run in the 400. she was 3rd in her heat in 58.91. – Alex Cullen ran the 400 heat in 49.43 and then won silver in the final in 48.36.
1500m Cathal O’Reilly and Hannah Kehoe both competed in U23. Cathal took gold in 3.48.39. Hannah Was 4th in 4.31.29.
3000m s/c Tom Murphy had a PB od 9.56.14 when winning silver in the steeplechase.
5000m Ruairi McEvoy bagged a bronze with 3rd place in the U20 5000m in a time of 15.14.81. Callum Barron also ran well to finish 4th in 15.28.11.
