AIT was the host college for this year’s Intervarsities Track and Field. It proved a happy venue for Cliodhna Manning, Carlow IT,  as she  took the gold in the 400m in 54.47 just ahead of St Joseph’s Sophie Becker. Brother Jack, having the first leg for the winning  DCU 4x400m relay team, also collected Gold. There were further relay medals for KCH athletes. AIT student, Louise Holmes, won bronze with her college 4x100m relay team. Callan Byrne, Carlow IT, won silver with his 4x100m team. Callan also represented the college in the 100m where he placed fith in the semi-final. Grace Richardson, running with UCC, had a good workout in the 3000m where she placed tenth in 11.16.17.
