Another successful “Streets” took place across the Kilkenny streets tonight. With over 800 entries and atheltes form in excess of 80 clubs with the four provinces represented it promised to be a great night. And so it turned out. A great night and a successful night. Eoin Everard, twice a second place finisher, made no mistake this time. In the front group from the start he made his final move before hitting the Parade and raised his arms in victory as he crossed the finish line. Victory and also a New Record time of 14.11. Brian Maher was right up there with the leaders and finished 4th overall in 14.18. (second behind Michael Harty in the over 40s). James Ledingham in 15.33 was our third man home. Geraldine Grogan in 21.07 was our first lady home followed by Caoimhe Foley 21.18 and Rita McGarvey 22.15. With Covid on the back burner a great After Race Party was held in The Set Theatre in Langtons. Congratulations to all 800+ participants. Many thanks to our sponsors, our organising committee and the volunteers. A great community event. Looking forward to 2023 already.
