KCH had three students competing for DCU at this years Intervarsities track and field championships held in IT Carlow. All three garnered points from their respective events thereby helping DCU become the overall winner. Busiest was Ciara Deely competing in three events – 4th in 400 hurdles(67.34), 6th in 400m (60.24) and also a member ofthe winning 4x400m relay. Jack Manning placed 5th in 400m (49.36) and also ran a leg of the 3rd placed 4x400m relay. Cathal O’Reilly was 4th in the 3000m steeplechase (9.58.27).
APRIL 10 FERRYBANK OPEN
Four of our juvenile athletes medalled at the Ferrybank open track and field meet a tthe RSC, Waterford today. Kate Kelly (U10) won the 300m and was second in the 80m. Jasmine Timmons McEneaney (U12) was second in 80m; Fiach Crowley (U12) was third in 80m hurdles and Emma Kelly (U121) was third in 500m.
