Nov 19 Senior and Junior GOLD in Gowran

2023-11-20T14:50:08+00:00

A fine chapter in our club's history was written in mud covered Gowran today. Our junior ladies led by Maebh Richardson in 4th place and Hannah Kehoe in 6th place won the junior championship. Both girls had been running in California last weekend so this was quite a contrasting event. They were supported on the team by Pia Langton 25th,  Isabella Burke 41, Hazel Coogan 103 and Ruth Cody 141. Pia, Hazel and Ruth placed 11th, 66th and 99th respectively in the u18 race. Our junior men despite their best efforts didn't do as well as the ladies. No great [...]

Nov 04 Kyrell Gold in Dunboyne

2023-11-04T17:57:55+00:00

We had some great performances at the Leinster cross country in Dunboyne today. The under foot conditions were soft and soon turned to muck which I suppose is par for the event at this time following a wetter than ever season. However with 23 Leinster medals coming home there was plenty to cheer about. Star of the day has to be Kyrell Mtinsi who took individual gold in the boys under 15. Kate Kelly with bronze in the u13 girls race was excellent. Other stars claiming Leinster team medals were Eoin Hoyne 6th boys u11; Katie Byrne 6th girls u13; [...]
