Raheny 5 Mile – A quality Men’s team represented the club in this years AXA Raheny 5 Mile. Jamie Gahan finishing in 25.09 was second O-40 and with Ger Forde clocking 24.27 and Eoin Everard 24.34 the team finished second club. Well done men.
IUAA – Cathal O’Reilly scored second place in the Colleges Indoor 1500. Running in the DCU colours he crossed the line in 3.57.
South Leinster Schools – Kyrell Mtinsi was individual winner of the Minor race as he led the St Kieran’s team to victory. Robert Coogan, CBS was 3rd in the race. In the Intermediate Clodagh O’Callaghan, Presentation won gold. Paddy Kelly represented the CBS and Ruairi McEvoy won silver while leading St Kieran’s to gold. In Senior Billy Coogan, CBS, was first home.
John Treacy 10 Mile, Dungarvan – Close on fifty Kilkenny City Harriers took part in the 10 mile in Dungarvan with many claiming PB’s. Pride of place goes to the ladies who won second team. Some times were Claire Dermody 65.48, Mary Prendergast 68.08, Joya Burns 70.26, Anita Byrne 70.50, Caoimhe Foley 73.11. Top performers for the men were Jamie Gahan 52.06, Trust Mtinsi 56.53, Graham Bourne 58.39, Paul Moran 59.52 and Declan Walshe 63.50.
Cois Nore – The new St Brigid’s bank holiday has provided a window for supporting Cois Nore with a fund raising opportunity – a 5K fun run in the Castle Park and a 1K juvenile run on the grass – with backup from the club. KCH juveniles, Emma Kelly, Kate Kelly and Fiach Crowley were first, second and third in the juvenile race while Eamon O’Conor place third in the 5K. Full 5K results available on PopUp Races.
