Relay competition brings a different buzz from individual events. It also gives athletes who may be on the margins an opportunity to get their hands on the coveted Leinster medal. KCH brought eighteen teams – 11 girls teams and 7 boys teams – to this year’s Leinster Indoor Relay championships. Ten of those teams qualified through the heats for their respective finals and Eight of those teams won medals – Two gold, Three silver and Three bronze. Pride of the club were the boys under 12 who turned in a class performance in the final. Not alone did they win but they set a new championship record. Well done all.
