A quartet of our under 12 boys travelled to Dublin for the “Track and Field Live” at the NIA. They were a happy team and really enjoyed the experience. They also enjoyed the competition. All four were excellent in the 60m sprints Daniel Quinn 9.43, Daniel McIntyre 9.86, Charlie Norris 10.11 and Isaac Burns 9.93.
Daniel Quinn led the start of the 600m and was well in contention with 150m to go but was overtaken on the run in. Daniel McIntyre ran a more conservative race and had pace left for the finish enabling him to take 3rd place. Their respective times were 1.57.00 and 1.56.60.
Rounding off their night they won the 4x200m relay in 2.12.19. A Happy Quartet Indeed.
