Another busy weekend.
BELFAST
The Schools International were held in Belfast on Saturday and our representative there was Alex Cullen doing the Long Jump. Alex gained selection for this event when he placed second and had a PB of 6.40 at the Tailteann Games on the 24th June. In Belfast he placed 6th while extending his PB to 6.44.
BELGIUM
Cliodhna Manning was in Belgium for the 400m at the Flanders Cup meet. Fresh from setting a new PB at the Cork City Sports earlier in the month she like Alex had another PB on Saturday. Finishing second she clocked 52.60 to register another PB.
TULLAMORE SATURDAY
It was the B All-Irelands and Club relays in Tullamore today. We had three athletes competing in the Bs and all three did well – two finished with medals and all three had PBs. Daire O’Flaherty was second in the 600m under 12 in 1.50.68. Grace Delahunty won the 100m under 16 in 13.33 and Eimear Cormack was fourth in the 800m under 15 in 2.40.71.
And in the relays we had gold and silver , three 4ths and a fifth. The gold was won by the under 15 girls and the silver by the under 14 girls. Boys under 14, girls under 16 and girls under 18 4×100 all finished 4th and the girls under 18 4×400 were 5th.

Girls under 16 – Hannah Quinn, Aoibhe Quinn, Molly Daly and Grace Delahunty.
Girls under 18 – (4×100 and 4×400) – Blaithin Holden, Ella Delahunty, Louisa Gilmore, Amelie Foley, Orla Kenny, Abby O’Brien.
TULLAMORE SUNDAY
Today it was the turn of the Juniors and under 23s to perform. We had one representativein each category. Cathal O’Reilly placed 12th in the junior 3000 in 9.13.77. Ross Daly ran the 100 and 200 under 23. Finishing 4th in the heats in each, his times were 11.37 and 22.65 respectively.
