THE NATIONALS
Day 3 on the national juveniles was held in sweltering heat in Tullamore. Times would therefore not be expected to be broken. That didn’t bother Victor Lamph as he sprinted to gold in the 400m hurdles. Other results were – Under 15 Daniel Greene 6th (1500 – 4.32.86); Marcus Lyons 12th (200 – 26.69). Under 16 – Ella Sorohan 3rd (200m); Jasmine Timmons McEneaney 6th (200m); Fiach Crowley 10th (200 – 24.66). Under 17 – Sinead Cormack 6th (1500m); Danny Direen 9th (300 hurdles – 43.54); Ellen Daly 4th (200m); Eoghan O’Farrell 7th (200m). Under 18 – Kyrell Mtinsi 14th (1500 – 4.16.47); Victor Lamph 1st(400 hurdles -56.07). Under 19 – Charlie Ryan 15th (1500m).
“B” NATIONALS
Another sweltering day in Tullamore and many really fine results. Under 13 – Cillian Maher 16th (600 -1.56.20), 7th ( long jump -3.93); Zachary Marc 1st (long jump 4.38); Under 14 Nicky Cleere 3rd (80m – 11.5); Under 15 Sam Woodcock 1st (800m – 2.14.60). Under 16 – Amelia O’Brien 1st (800m – 2.23.79); Katie Byrne 3rd (800m – 2.26.18).
NATIONAL RELAYS
Another great day for our relay squads in the heat in Tullamore. Under 13 Boys 10th (Aaron Tyrell, Daniel Quinn, Zachary Marc, Conor Laurence Delaney, Daniel McIntyre).
Under 14 Boys 6th (Nicky Cleere, Cathal Comerford, Eoin Hoyne, Caelan Bambrick, Jacob Briers).
Under 14 Girls 3rd (Julia Daly, Ellen Ryan, Beibhin O’Brien, Raine McKeever).
Under 16 Girls 1st (Jasmine Timmons McEneaney, Mollierose Keegan, Ella Sorohan, Mia Brennan, Kelly Charters).

CORK CITY SPORTS (8th July)
Pia Langton achieved the qualifying standard for world juniors with a time of 2.05.72 in the 800m.
MORTON GAMES, SANTRY (10th July)
Kyrell Mtinsi pulled off a PB in the 1500m with a 5th place finish in 4.02.88. Shay McEvoy had a seasons best for the 5000m with 13.47.39.
