Another hot day in Tullamore and with it came more hot results for KCH athletes. Top of the joy was the continuing success of the under 14 girls – Amelie Foley,Ella Delahunty, Abbie O’Brien, Orla Kenny and Blaithin Holden – 1st place in the relay final. Not far behind were the fleetfooted under 13 boys – Brian Moore, Danny Ring, Alex Cullen, Sean Young and Ruairin McEvoy – silver in their 4x100m final.

The individual events also brought many excellent achievements – Louie Raggett – 1/high jump with CBP of 1.30m + gold in the long jump. Patrick Lacey also scored twice – 2/long jump and3/60m (8.91). Luke Dunne brought home all-Irelandgold with a PB of 10.04m in the shot. Under 12 girls Ella Wall and Roisin Burns won bronze in their respective long jump and high jump events. Tara McGuire struck gold in the shot with a PB of 8.59. And what about Jennifer Obah – a blistering start in the 100m final saw her cross the finish line to take the gold. Jennifer also placed 4th in the long jump. Yes a great day washad by all. Congratulations to athletes and coaches.
