An enjoyable day in Tullamore today for the Leinster Combined Events – a new experience for all our participating juveniles. The U12 Tri Event – Four of our athletes sampled this and were successful with Bella Quaglia placing 4th, Ellen Ryan 6th and Ella O’Flaherty 8th. For the boys Caelan Bambrick also placed 6th.
U13 Quadrathon – Two athletes represented the club at U13 – Conor Knox and Daniel Greene. Conor was superb. With a great Shot Putt performance of 11.61 he topped the scoring and with apoints total of 1278 he won the gold. Daniel also had a fine competition and with 1.43.07 in the 600m he amassed 1132 points to finish in 5th place.
U14 Pentathlon – Recently joined member Kelly Charters was our sole representative in U14 and on this her first time venturing into a multi event and showing good performances across the five events she finished in 7th place.
MASTERS – It’s that man again – Graham Bourne. Taking first place in javelin, 200m and 1500m and second in Long Jump and Discus he won the gold with a points total of 1943.
