KHC athletes performed in a various disciplines in a variety of locations this weekend. Today proved particularly active. Alex Cullen was in the Morton Stadium, Santry on the first day of the under 14 penthatlon. Over the two days he had a great competition performing well in each of the five events – 2/75m hurdles, 2/long jump, 3/high jump, 6/shot and 4/800m. The result a bronze national medal. Well done Alex.
Competing in the AAI Games, also in Santry were CliodhnaManning and Callan Byrne. Cliodhna took first place in the 400m while Callan had 100m (11.01) and 200m (22.16).
Jack Manning was in Nivelles where he placed third in the 400m (49.1). Three athletes headed to Belfast for the Irish Milers fixture. Shay McEvoy had a PB in the 1500m (3.50). Annie McEvoy completed her 1500m in 4.44 and Aoibhe Richardson continued her good running form with 16.23 for the 10K.
Down in Waterford the Viking half marathon was the action. Trust Mtinsi did well finishing fifth in 1.16.00. Paul Moran and Eddie Hawe were others who competed.
